Footprints of Hope Statement

Footprints of Hope began in 1993 as a ministry to hurting, wounded people.

Each of us faces times of inner conflict, stress, emotional pain, and loss. Any one of these can push us to the limits of our faith and affect our personal, marital, or family relationships. These are the times we need someone who listens, understands, and helps chart a course filled with real and workable solutions.

Footprints of Hope strives to maintain a safe, nurturing atmosphere where God’s unconditional love, acceptance, and forgiveness are manifested. This warm and caring environment in a confidential setting helps people explore life’s struggles in a sensitive and practical manner.

We work with marital and family issues, depression, life issues, secret addictions, and traumatic events such as sexual abuse, single parent and child relationships, and eating disorders. The core of an eating disorder is often a specific traumatic incident or set of circumstances that wound a person in such a way as to eventually lead to an open expression of pain, guilt, or shame.

Our approach to healing focuses on the belief that every person is created in God’s image, having value and importance. We believe there is a tremendous need for Christian counselors. Studies have proven that treatment for Christians is more successful when their faith in God is viewed as central in their healing process.

Footprints of Hope is committed to providing this service. We welcome those lost without faith and those who are seeking God to experience the change that God offers as we reach out in love.

”And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds ... let us encourage one another” (Hebrews 10:24-25).
